As an insider, I have seen and heard so many questionable things happen in the Church. Yet, an aspect that I find amazing and worrisome is how men of God milk their members off their hard-earned money.
I must say that I have many things to say, but as much as I don’t know how the person reading this might find them, I will share many things in few words. Therefore, this one will be a short note. So let’s begin, but with a question.
Do you mean your first income of the year is God’s portion? Hmmm… God’s portion… Well, the irony is that influential personalities rob their followers and use religion to make them feel good about it.

Ever wondered why your pastors and general overseers preach and emphasize tithes and offerings with some percentage of threats, including if you don’t tithe, your life will be tight, God will allow the devourers, or you will be cursed by God?
When you look further, you will notice how large they live, priding themselves that you are nothing and have nothing to do with their successes. Isn’t that a lie? Perhaps it’s a big fat one.
Yet, there are people who still can’t see through the deceit; they can’t see that it’s a church scam. More so, when they tell you your first month’s salary is God’s portion and your pastor is the God that’s receiving the money. Oh, you mean you don’t see that? Ah, you even offer an apologia for them? Credits to your leaders, they know how to use you for their own good.
Without you, are they anything in that sphere? They could be if they ventured into other businesses. As it appears, churches are business centers run by businessmen and women who care more about the profit than the people. They show care to the people, perhaps because they need it to profit.
If you have to give a man your hard-earned first salary of the year in the name of God, you should as well give them your firstborn sons to become their children, bearing their surnames. Oh, no, they can bear the name of the Lord instead.
Well, be a cheerful giver.
